Welcome to 'Musicloops' - Musical Loop creation for schools

A mix of I.T. and music! Create your own tracks using musical loops and have fun. Musicloops - run by Keith Hastings, will demonstrate the ease of loop creation in today’s modern music and the wonders of MIDI, using a Godin Multiac guitar, Apple Mac laptop and Logic Software. Using a range of muliti-cultural sounds and voices including Indian Tabla, African voices, Funky Electric guitar and Hip Hop beats, the choice is endless!

Aims of the Session

1. Showing the ease of basic music creation using loops and the computer. Linking I.T. with music.

2. Creation of an individual song/project for each school/year 6.

3. Importance of computers in music, touching briefly on music recording and MIDI.

4. Promote the pleasure/fun of music creation.

This site also holds the samples of songs created by year 6 children using music loops from Appleloops. Click on the jukebox (music menu) to hear your schools compositions. Go to download on the menu to save your songs.
